Private Charter

This relaxing day trip starts by dropping into picturesque Simpson’s Gap to catch the early morning light bouncing off the orange cliffs, and perusing the terrain for the elusive black-footed rock wallaby.

Then off to Standley Chasm, which offers a serene cafe with yummy snacks, friendly staff and a lovely little gift shop. A 1km hike leads you to the sheer cliffs of this impressive chasm.

Further out into the ranges we'll reach the towering cliffs of Ormiston Gorge to enjoy a delicious lunch and potentially a dip in the icy waters of this natural swimming hole. For those more energetically inclined, don't miss the short but steep hike up to the Ghost Gum Lookout for some impressive views down into the gorge.

Tracking back to Alice, we'll stop in at the Ochre Pits to ogle these bizarre but beautiful mineral deposits. Then finally to the stunning Ellery Creek Big Hole, offering the potential for another ice bath and some time to take in the incredible bird life and flora of this little oasis. Then it's time to relax on the bus for the scenic drive back to Alice Springs.
